My research centers on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the field of Rhetoric and Composition, with an emphasis on transnational rhetorics, diasporic African rhetoric, and non-western rhetorical traditions. Drawing on my background as a Nigerian scholar navigating various cultural spaces, I explore ways to make academic environments more inclusive by incorporating alternative literacies and cultural diversity into curriculum design and institutional policies.

As a central analytic for the work of the institutional ethnographer, standpoint foregrounds the ways individuals are unique and therefore uniquely experience the broad social relations and institutional circuits in which they are embedded.
